Jun. 27, 2024 Fullchamp The 14th QCC Results Presentation: Demonstrating The Entrepreneurial Spirit of Continuous Improvement & Pursuit of Excellence

Fullchamp adheres to the concept of “full participation, continuous improvement, and pursuit of excellence” and has held QCC Quality Control Circle activities twice a year since 2016 as an important measure to improve product quality and company management.

On June 27, 2024, Fullchamp held the results presentation of the 14th QCC.  This time, 4 senior Thai colleagues voluntarily took part in the implementation of QC projects.  Not only injecting new vitality, but also demonstrating Fullchamp’s emphasis on and tolerance of diverse talents.

The improvement projects of the 8 QCC teams involved production costs, operations, and management.  The presenters of each team used detailed information and charts to show the comparison before and after the implementation of the projects, fully proving the effectiveness.

The 3rd Place – [Draw Circles] from the TD: Test Rod Processing Time Reduced by 30%

The TD produced an average of 1,728 test sticks from 2021 to 2023.   In order to improve the efficiency of test rod processing, [Draw Circles] team began to analyze the test rod processing process and record the test rod milling and turning time.  Data shows that milling time is twice as long as turning time, becoming the main bottleneck of processing time.

As the parallelism and thickness of the test rod are important factors that affect the milling time, [Draw Circles] added a fixing device for sampling the test rod on the sawing machine to accurately control the parallelism and thickness standards of the test rod.

Through detailed analysis and innovative solutions, [Draw Circles] successfully shortened the test rod processing time by 66.6%, far exceeding the target set by 30%!

The 2nd Place – [Truck Circle] from the QA: Improve the Production Efficiency of Inspection Reports by 30%

OQC is responsible for recording laboratory test data and measurement data, and integrating them with material voucher data into inspection reports for customers.  However, the traditional production process for inspection report is time-consuming and labor-intensive and needs improvement.

In order to improve efficiency, [Truck Circle] team developed a program to “automatically generate Excel measurement data reports” based on CMM’s programming specifications.

The colleagues directly copied the original test data from CMM and imported it into the inspection report, which greatly simplified the data input process and shortened the time for inputting measurement data by 50%.  It also reduced 23.8 hours of manual input work per month.

The excellent programming capabilities of the [Truck Circle] team have successfully improved the efficiency of inspection report production and greatly reduced the risk of human error.

The 1st Place – [Firefighting Circle] from the SI: Improved Air Pressure Usage in the forging Section – Saving 20% Usage

In order to reduce the monthly air pressure consumption in the forging section, colleagues at [Firefighting Circle] analyzed the reasons and listed a total of 4 improvement countermeasures, which implemented from July 2023.

As of June 2024, the average air pressure consumption in the forging class has been reduced from the original 18 m3/pcs to 13.5 m3/pcs, an improvement of 25%. It is estimated that carbon dioxide emissions reduced by 42,468 kg.

The countermeasures proposed by [Firefighting Circle] team have successfully reduced the amount of air pressure usage in the forging section, which not only saves material costs, but also contributes to environmental protection.

QCC has become an important part of Fullchamp’s culture.  The general manager leads all colleagues to achieve material cost savings and optimize production processes by promoting QCC projects, driving the company’s continuous progress!

Colleagues conducted in-depth analysis of work processes, identified opportunities for improvement, and jointly developed innovative solutions.  Not only has it brought substantial benefits to the company, but it has also demonstrated the colleagues’ excellent teamwork capabilities and innovative spirit, laying a solid foundation for sustainable development.
